My calendar said that March 20th was the First Day of Spring.
Images conjuring spring include buds and blossoming flowers, green spears of vegetation, sunshine, blue skies, white puffy clouds, and colorful spring dresses and attire.
Where I am, spring season ushered in with cold foggy mornings, gray skies, and up to about half an hour ago, rain with mild gusts of wind.
Perhaps rain and shower are rites of spring, and a baptism towards a season of rebirth and renewal.
