I miss my niece.
She is thirteen months old. According to my brother, she has three teeth now - two bottom ones and one upper tooth. She has also been standing and toddling on her own, with a little bit of guidance.
It was September when I first saw her in Seattle, Washington, where she lives. Back then, I saw her crawling very fast, and was already very expressive and aware when interacting with me - she smiled, giggled, waved her hand, and made irresistible baby noises. When I was with her in the back seat while we went out, I saw her sleepy eyes with the long dark eyelashes as she held my index finger.
Grace is the cutest, most adorable baby girl I have ever laid my eyes on. I do see her on web cam every now and then and from the pictures that my brother and sister-in-law send via email. I have seen her transformation in the past year as she continues to grow, and I am simply amazed and filled with excitement and love.
I am already looking forward to summer in Seattle.
