Coincidence

Uncanny.

I was having a conversation with someone today in which he spontaneously revealed information that I have been curious to know but never asked. I didn't ask because it felt intrusive, and I didn't really want to hear something that I might have preferred left unsaid.

I resolved to tell myself that "eventually*, I will know" and knowing this person, it was just a matter of time.

I am still struck about how soon* the answer came in our conversation and how it was another unraveling about him.

Learning about the answer was interesting because it was one of those curiosities that was quieted. And I imagined it enough to believe that what he said had the fondness of memory, commitment and promise.

I appreciate the disclosure and I value the trust.

Maybe someday, I will have my own story to share.
