Manny Pacquiao, who won his fifth world title in a fourth weight division, celebrates his victory over Ricky Hatton on Saturday night in Las Vegas.
--------------------------
I did not watch the live game on Pay-Per-View last night.
I learned of the outcome from a cable sports channel while updates of the day's sports news flashed at the bottom of the screen. Subsequently, I read the details online.
I was shocked ... a knock-out at 2:59 of Round 2. (That fast?!!)
I was impressed ... at the strength and power of Pacquiao.
I was moved ... by his humility despite the widespread accolade of his status in the boxing world.
"I was just doing my job," said Pacquiao, who is a national hero in the Philippines and is fast becoming a hero among boxing fans. "I always try to do my best in the ring."
I am proud ... in his representation of the Philippines and the hope and triumph that he brings with his talent, hard work, mental toughness, charisma and faith.
