When It Grows Again

After nine weeks, I had my haircut ... just a half-an-inch trim from my local "Fantastic Sams." The hairdresser I met (and available when I walked in) cut my hair for the first time. I appreciated how she listened to how I wanted the cut to be and how she addressed my initial concerns. I was also grateful about some tips that she gave me about styling my hair ("just follow the arch of your head when you blow dry...").

It's amazing how a haircut can transform a look and affect mood. I was very pleased and excited with the outcome. I always go for the casual look and no-fuss maintenance which has been the case since I've maintained a short cut (round layers, ear-level, with bangs) for at least the last two years now. I have also been getting compliments so that is a positive reinforcement.

Sometimes a haircut is a hit-and-miss. Currently, what I have is a flattering hit.

  1. I had a recent haircut. Told the girl in this new salon I tried what I wanted and even showed a pix from one of their mags, Didn't quite turn out like it! Had to have it re-done. Then after the re-do, had to do more cutting myself at home. Ugh. - dr ofw
