Facebook has been a chance for me to get reacquainted with people who have crossed my path and life, and to keep those who are currently in it as a continuing part of my social circle.
I got reacquainted with a former schoolmate, Hannah, who now lives with her son and husband in San Diego, California. Our correspondence via Facebook since she joined it has been fun and informative; years of non-contact seemingly erased by strokes on the keyboard in writing words that reawaken the warmth and comfort of connection.
She hikes every weekend and loves the color pink. And in the midst of a recent cold Sunday morning hike in the canyons of San Diego, she enlivened it with her favorite color, as I am sure, along with her personality.
My nickname is Pinky but ironically my favorite color is blue...seemingly fit for my feeling blue these days.

Can't wait for the day when I'm no longer blue so my face can radiate into pulsing pink =p
