It was exciting to see her win the awards for Best Dramatic Actress in "Revolutionary Road" and Best Supporting Actress in "The Reader." Of course, I have not seen the movies of her fellow contenders for an objective comparison but seeing her in those intense and memorable roles make her richly deserving of the honor.
I loved her acceptance speech! So natural, funny, and she forgot Angleina Jolie! Hahaha. That was the best. Reading your entry on RR and TR makes me want to watch them as well.
ReplyDeleteI really liked both movies, and can't even say one is "better" than the other. They're just different. Tell me what you think after you have the chance to see them.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really want to "review" each movie in detail since I think each moviegoer has to decide how the viewing experience would be like for them, or how it affected them. There are already plenty of reviews and previews out there.
I'm still amused by your blog entry on Quantum of Solace. I liked the movie, but enjoyed Casino Royale more (and the theme song).
