It was the best option for a filling, satisfying meal!
Yesterday was a long morning of staff meeting and paperwork for me so venturing to an off-campus restaurant to have Mongolian BBQ for lunch was a needed break. My hot and spicy combo selection with vegetable soup, steamed rice and two pieces of sesame buns were yummy, especially after a donuts-only snack to pass the morning.
Stacking my bowl with my choice of meat (chicken), vegetables and other ingredients was an art. Gladly, at the end of the all-you-can-stack buffet station it was one of the staff who put the noodles for the customer (avoiding wasteful and awkward spills otherwise) and who poured the sauces and other condiments (spicy, please!) to give the meal its customized flavor.
It was fascinating to see the contents of my bowl being cooked over the large, round, solid iron griddle and I relished the aroma as it was served steaming hot.
It is best to unhurriedly enjoy Mongolian BBQ on an empty stomach. After yesterday's lunch, I know that I will be going back to that place again sometime soon!
