Season 8 started a little "tame" for me than last year's but I was still on edge with the roller coaster of emotion, suspense, surprise, intrigue, mystery and curiosity that the first four hours of the two-day season premiere presented.
New and familiar characters have emerged with the unmistakable time lapse and location (United Nations/New York) after Season 7 (The White House/Washington, D.C.) ended eight months ago. I rely on piecing together the "in-between" time from the context of the characters' dialogs and demeanor. When I feel that I need to, I go to the show's Fox website information for more background but I prefer the discovery as I watch the scenes and episodes unfold.
"24" is a very intense, heart-thumping show. I find my relief and breather from the commercials. Oh, yes ... and a pillow, to cover my eyes & to muffle my screams.
