It has been a while since I have walked the Santa Monica bluffs through Palisades Park. I did it this morning and it was a nice and refreshing activity with the sunny skies and cool shade of the trees. I saw dog walkers, joggers, runners, yoga practitioners, readers on benches or those sprawled on their towel-covered grass space and others who were just whiling their time.
There was a great expansive view of the blue ocean and oncoming surf. The waves occasionally echoed thunderously as well.
I thought of continuing my roundrip walk towards the Pier, heading south to Venice Beach via Ocean Front Walk. But the sun was starting to feel a little more intense as midday approached. Late afternoon would have probably been better to walk that route. Some other time.
It's cooler inside my apartment as I write this. Still, it was nice to be kissed by sun and walk through a bustling park on a Presidents' Day holiday morning.
