The San Francisco Giants' ring looks very blingy indeed! I wonder how much the entire item weighs!
I didn't realize that EVERYONE in the organization gets their own ring. But it makes sense ... the team isn't just about the coaches and players.
I followed the Giants' playoff run last year and eventually started to get familiar with the various players and personalities. Somehow, there was a surging sentiment that it was their time to hoist the championship trophy since moving to San Francisco, California in 1957 from New York.
Two years ago, I had a behind-the scenes tour of AT&T Park just before the 2009 season began. Soon, I will be returning as a spectator to one or two of its home games. This time, I will be watching the team play as *the* defending champions. It will be a summer to look forward to.
