Reflections

Below are some highlights of my 2010:

1) Quarterly flower bouquets.

2) Baseball game at AT&T Park (San Francisco, CA) on a hot summer weekend in June, where the home team won. I also got a Lucy (Peanuts) bobblehead give-away.

3) Coit Tower uphill hike from Washington Square, then downhill to the Embarcadero, past the Levi's Plaza for the F-line streetcar ride to Union Square.

4) Fourth of July weekend in Palm Springs (timeshare).

5) Someone's 30th birthday.

6) A blooming Mission Rose Garden in Santa Barbara, California.

7) A Chicagoan friend's visit to Los Angeles, California.

8) Seattle, Washington family vacationers.

9) Aggravating sinusitis that lasted for weeks!

10) Baseball World Series, capped by the San Francisco Giants' win.

11) Angel Island on a sunny and quiet November day ... Sunset Trail hike and encounter with a deer.

12) Fried calamari and fresh garlic fries; Ben & Jerry's hot float.

13) Music from Glee (TV show).

14) Favorite films: Inception, The King's Speech.

15) Books read with lingering impressions: The Long Goodbye (Raymond Chandler) , To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee), Interview with the Vampire (Anne Rice).

16) An author's personal written dedication, preceded by a one-on-one discussion of the book project, content, and writing process.

17) Watching ghost stories on The Biography channel.

18) Drew Brees, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Trent Dilfer, ESPN.

19) Rockridge (Oakland, CA) meeting with a friend from graduate school & West Portal (San Francisco, CA) lunch with a high school classmate.

20) "Broadway Holiday" at Geffen Playhouse.
